Welcome to Age-Friendly Bellville

On October 1, 2025, the Village of Bellville joined the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities, becoming the 37th community in Ohio to earn this designation.
Being an Age-Friendly Community means making Bellville a place where people of all ages can live, grow, and age with independence, dignity, and a strong sense of belonging. This effort focuses on creating a community that supports residents at every stage of life—with safe, walkable spaces, access to essential services, opportunities for connection, and ways to stay active and engaged.
This work is guided through a partnership with the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging and supported by the Age-Friendly Bellville Advisory Group, alongside the Mayor and Village Council. Together, they gather community input, identify local priorities, and help shape plans for the future.
Community voices are at the heart of this effort. Through a Community Needs Assessment Survey, residents help guide Bellville’s Age-Friendly Action Plan. As this work continues, the goal remains simple: to build a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive—now and for generations to come.
